ISO9 maintains its physical plant in a world-class data facility located in
Silicon Valley. Our servers have hot swappable components, access to the highest
bandwidth in the industry and are backed up with redundant servers. The site has
intruder detection services and state-of-the-art physical protection (fire,
theft and access). The location is staffed with trained security and network
personnel 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Security
Access to all server rooms is controlled by an access database, pass cards and
video surveillance. Guards monitor all areas within the co-location area and are
protected by bulletproof glass.
Security guards, as well as bullet-resistant glass, doors and walls
protect a single point of entry to co-location areas 24 hours a
day. All visits are logged against our defined access lists.
Surveillance cameras located throughout the facility capture all
activity to help ensure no unauthorized entry to protected areas.
Continuous Power Supply
The facility is among the first Internet data centers to
utilize continuous power supply (CPS) online generators. These state-of-the-art
generators are part of an overall power system that cleans and conditions
commercial electrical power to remove any irregularities in the
signal.
All power is run through the CPS generators before being passed
into the facility, which builds momentum in the high-efficiency
turbine. In the event of a loss of power from the grid, the momentum
in the turbine ensures continuous power while the back-up generators
come online.
The back-up diesel generator can power the facility at full power
for approximately 40 hours before fuel re-supply is necessary.
The facilities also include the following features:
Disaster-resistant
construction of the facility and vaults that meet compliance issues
Fire
prevention systems that comply with NFPA Standards in the U.S.
Proper
environmental controls
Fail-safe
communication capabilities
